On THE-SAGES.COM, you can use the following payment methods: Credit Card, Visa, Mastercard, PAYPAL (American Express and JCB, Visa Electron, prepaid cards).

QUICK PURCHASE: THE-SAGES has a Quick Purchase option that allows you to store your credit card information so that you don't need to enter it again for future purchases.

PAYPAL: Make your online purchases easily without having to enter your credit card information on the website. Your account will be debited at the time your order is finalized. To create a new PayPal account, visit paypal.com.

When will my order be cashed?

As soon as the order is completed, a payment authorization is automatically performed to verify the validity of the credit card and the availability of funds. The amount is debited later, when the order is handed over to the carrier at the time of shipment of your order. You will then receive an email indicating that the amount has been debited. If you are paying with PAYPAL, your account will be debited at the time your order is finalized

Why is the amount I paid different from the amount of my order?

The amount paid is lower than the amount of the order when one or more items ordered are not available at the time the order is prepared. The amount paid therefore corresponds to the items that were actually shipped.

How do I access my invoice?

You can find your bank receipt and your order summary in your Order History from your customer area. You can then download your invoices.

Our payment solutions by credit card and PAYPAL ensure optimal security. Thanks to the use of the SSL protocol (encryption of all information linked to the card) and the use of 3DS, we protect the data as well as possible. On THE-SAGES.COM, every payment is highly secure thanks to the use of Trustwave, secure servers and highly advanced encryption services (SSL).

We only use protected connections, indicated in the browser address bar by "https" and a padlock.

In order to secure credit card payments, you will be asked to enter your card's security code with each order. As an additional security measure to authorize payment, the bank that provided your card may ask you to enter a unique password, SMS code or use another authentication method.

The payment department may check and contact you before approving the transaction and confirming the order in order to combat fraud, ensure your protection and obtain more information.

My payment did not go through, I can't finalize my order.

If your payment is refused or does not go through, you can make a second attempt to pay by card after checking the following elements:

The credit card

• Check that your payment details are correct,
• Check that the type of card is compatible with payment on the THE-SAGES site
• Check the expiry date of your credit card
• Check the billing address, which must be identical to that on your bank statement

The 3D Secure payment SMS

• Check that you have received your SMS and the transaction confirmation code.
• When you attempt to pay again, you will have to re-enter the confirmation code.
• Make sure that you have followed all the instructions given by the bank that provided you with your card.

Contact your bank

If the problem persists, we suggest that you contact your card issuer and, in the meantime, use another means of payment (your bank may have refused your payment, for example if your spending limit has been exceeded).

Information on VAT and invoicing

The purchase services on THE-SAGES.COM are exclusively reserved for end consumers. The prices indicated include VAT

THE-SAGES.COM issues an invoice for each order placed. This document will be sent as an attachment with the email confirming shipment of the package. Note: once the order has been confirmed, you will not be able to modify the information you have entered, nor will we be able to issue a new invoice

Duty free purchases for diplomats: how do I get a VAT refund?

If you are a diplomatic agent and you wish to be refunded VAT, you must send us the following documents:

1. A photocopy of a valid identity document

2. A photocopy of the invoice for which you are claiming a VAT refund

3. A statement from the government for which you work that you are indeed entitled to a VAT refund

4. Bank account details (name of account holder, IBAN and BIC/SWIFT code) to which you would like the refund to be paid (only for orders paid on delivery)

Once we have verified the data and documents provided, we will refund the amount of VAT on the payment method used to settle your order

How can I get a VAT refund?

THE-SAGES.COM offers to reimburse VAT to customers residing outside the European Union, provided that the total amount of the order is higher than the amount imposed by the country from which the order was placed.

To obtain the refund, you must present the invoice attached to the order confirmation email to the customs department and ask them for the stamp certifying that the goods will leave the European Union. Then, within three months of the date of the order, you must send us the following documents:
